Danny Boyle (/ ˈ d æ n i b ɔ ɪ l / [1]), né Daniel Francis Boyle le 20 octobre 1956 à Radcliffe, Grand Manchester (Royaume-Uni), est un réalisateur, producteur et scénariste britannique. Il est révélé par ses deux premiers longs-métrages : les comédies noires anglaises Petits Meurtres entre amis (1994) et Trainspotting (1996), qui révèlent aussi Ewan McGregor au grand public.
Danny Boyle was born on 20 October 1956, in Radcliffe, Lancashire, England, about 6 mi (9.7 km) north of Manchester's city centre, to Irish parents Frank and Annie Boyle, both from County Galway. He has a twin sister, Marie, and a younger sister, Bernadette, both of whom are teachers.
