  1. Professor David Attwell FRS (born 1953) is a leading British neuroscientist, and the Jodrell Professor of Physiology at University College London in the Faculty of Life Sciences. He uses electrophysiological recording and imaging techniques to study neurotransmitter signalling between nerve and glial cells in the central nervous system.
