Tryggve Olafsson (Tryggvi Ólafsson en vieux norrois, Tryggve Olavsson en norvégien), mort en 963, est un roi viking, qui règne sur le royaume de Viken (aujourd'hui Vingulmark et Ranrike).
Tryggve Olafsson (Old Norse: Tryggvi Óláfsson, Norwegian: Tryggve Olavsson) (born 928 in Ringerike, died c. 963 in Sotnes, Bohuslän, Västra Götaland, Sweden) was king of Viken, Norway (Vingulmark and Rånrike).
Tryggvi Ólafsson is one of the best-known Icelandic artists. The main focus of Tryggvi‘s artistic mind was his experience and opinions, he took inspiration from myths, memories, homesickness and reflections on the world and human fortune.
Tryggvi Ólafsson died on 3 January 2019. Clearly, Ólafsson had a spectacular artistic career, having first exhibited paintings in his upper secondary school in 1960, one year before leaving Iceland to study art in Copenhagen.

THE LIFE’S WORK OF ONE OF ICELAND’S MOST RESPECTED ARTISTS. Born in Norðfjörður in 1940, Tryggvi Ólafsson started to paint at a young age and studied at the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts in 1960-61 and at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen, 1961-66.
