Island of Fire (Chinese: 火燒島) is a 1990 Taiwanese-Hong Kong action film directed by Kevin Chu, and starring Jackie Chan, Andy Lau, Sammo Hung, Tony Leung Ka-fai and Tou Chung-hua. The film was shot in Taiwan and the Philippines in 42 days from 5 April until 17 May 1989.
A cop goes undercover to infiltrate a deadly prison where a team of mercenaries is being assembled. Someone in a prison run by a corrupt warden fakes the deaths of convicts to later use them as expendable assassins.

A heroic bloodshed prison movie that squanders it's great ensemble of Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Andy Lau, Big Tony, Jimmy Wang Yu, and Jack Kao. You really need to try hard to mess that up, and, sadly, The Prisoner/Island of Fire whatever you wanna call it, tried real hard.
