John Aleck Suchet OBE (/ ˈ s uː ʃ eɪ / SOO-shay; born 29 March 1944) is an English author, television news journalist and presenter of classical music on Classic FM. Suchet has two brothers, one of whom is the actor Sir David Suchet.
John Suchet is a broadcaster, author and journalist who hosts Classic FM shows and specials. He is also a passionate trombonist and a recognised authority on Beethoven and classical music.

TV & Radio. For thirty years John was best known as a reporter and newscaster for ITN. As reporter he covered major world events, including the Iran Revolution, the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan, the Philippines Revolution and the fall of the Berlin Wall.
John Suchet presented the late morning slot on Classic FM for nine years from 2011 to 2020, before hosting The Classic FM Concert on weekday evenings. He stepped back from his regular presenting in the summer of 2022, but is warmly welcomed back for special programmes and occasions.
