  4. The Niels Bohr Institute (Danish: Niels Bohr Institutet) is a research institute of the University of Copenhagen. The research of the institute spans astronomy , geophysics , nanotechnology , particle physics , quantum mechanics , and biophysics .

  5. The newly built institute was dedicated in 1921 with Niels Bohr as the director. It was given the name “The University of Copenhagens Institute for Theoretical Physics”. In everyday speech, it was simply called “The Niels Bohr Institute”, which it was indeed officially renamed in 1965.
