Born in Kufstein, [1] Wendlinger started his career in karting and in Formula Ford before entering the German Formula 3 Championship in 1988.
Karl Wendlinger ist ein ehemaliger österreichischer Automobilrennfahrer. Er fuhr von 1991 bis 1995 in der Formel 1 und war von 2002 bis 2003 aktiver Fahrer in der DTM. Ab 2004 fuhr er in der FIA-GT-Meisterschaft.
