Boris Karloff est né à Londres en 1887 et a émigré au Canada puis aux États-Unis. Il est surtout connu pour son rôle de la créature de Frankenstein, mais il a aussi joué dans d'autres films fantastiques, comme La Momie, Le Fantôme vivant ou Le Corbeau.
