Mr. Tembo (Tembo en swahili signifie "éléphant") est le nom d'un éléphanteau que Damon Albarn a rencontré dans un zoo de Tanzanie. Cet éléphanteau récemment orphelin était apparemment très affectueux, et le chanteur lui chantait souvent des chansons rythmés, du style gospel.
