Bob Sawyer fut un éphémère guitariste du groupe de heavy metal britannique Iron Maiden en 1976, qui remplaça le guitariste des débuts Terry Rance. Sawyer et d'autres membres du groupe furent virés après que le chanteur Dennis Wilcock fut arrivé à persuader le fondateur Steve Harris de mettre de l'ordre dans le groupe.
Harris temporarily disbanded Iron Maiden in December 1976 so he could replace Rance and Sulivan with guitarists Dave Murray and Bob Sawyer. By mid-1977 Matthews, Murray and Sawyer were both fired, and replaced by guitarist Terry Wapram and keyboardist Tony Moore and drummer Thunderstick (real name Barry Purkis).

Sadly no audio recordings exist apart from Melody Maker ads for gigs and some other archive photos of this wild trio.
