M. Salah Baouendi, Distinguished Professor in UC San Diego’s Department of Mathematics, a world renowned researcher and a model for leadership on the campus, died peacefully in his home on December 24, 2011. He was 74.

1 janv. 2015 · Salah Baouendi was born in Tunis on October 15, 1937. Mathematics was Salah’s real passion, and it was his mathematical talent that took him from the Sadiki Lycée in Tunis (Fig. 1) to Paris, where he spent the last two years of high school.
