Walk the Line is a 2005 American biographical drama film directed by James Mangold. The screenplay, written by Mangold and Gill Dennis, is based on two autobiographies by the American singer-songwriter Johnny Cash: Man in Black: His Own Story in His Own Words (1975) and Cash: The Autobiography (1997).

Il est le petit chanteur de la famille alors que son frère Jack se destine à devenir un pasteur, pour le plus grand honneur de ses parents. Jack se tue dans un accident de scie à bois tandis que Johnny pêchait le gardon.
Walk the Line. 1957. L’Amérique ébahie découvre la première rock star de l’Histoire. Son nom : Johnny Cash. Icône de toute une génération, éternel rebelle, "l’homme en noir" a connu tous les excès : les concerts hystériques, les ravages de la drogue, la passion dévorante….
