26 oct. 2011 · St. Ann’s was founded in 1908 as a home for infants and unwed mothers. The original building was located at Bryden Road and Kelton Avenue. By the 1920’s the hospital had gradually converted to a maternity hospital, as home deliveries became less frequent.
It is a suffragan diocese in the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Cincinnati. The mother church of the Diocese of Columbus is St. Joseph Cathedral in Columbus. The diocese was erected on March 3, 1868, by Pope Pius IX. The current bishop of Columbus is Earl K. Fernandes .
