There & Back is the fourth studio solo album by guitarist Jeff Beck, released in June 1980 through Epic Records. The album reached No. 10 and 21 on the U.S. Billboard Jazz Albums and Billboard 200 charts respectively, and No. 36 on the Swedish albums chart.

Les autres disques parus avant 1980 sont soit au nom du Jeff Beck Group, soit au sein du trio Beck Bogert & Appice, soit en duo avec Jan Hammer pour un album live en 1977.
Il signera notamment 3 chansons de l'album de Jeff Beck " There And Back " sortit en 1980. Une de ces chansons, " Star Cycle " deviendra le thème d'une série anglaise nommée " The Tube ". Producteur prolifique, Jan Hammer multiplie les collaborations, et en 1982 il enregistrera " Electric Rendezvous " avec Al Di Meola.
