Led by singer Pepe Cardona, Alive 'n Kickin' was a New York City based sextet showcasing the talents of drummer Vito Albano, vocalist Sandy Todler, guitarist John Parisio, keyboardist Bruce Sudano and bassist Thomas Wilson.
Alive ‘N Kickin’ formed in 1968 in the basement of original guitarist Dave Shearer, when they were teenagers. Original members included Toda and Cardona (vocals), Bruce Sudano (keyboards), Woody Wilson (bass), Dave Shearer (guitar), and Vito Albano (drums).

Sandy Toda (vocals), Pepe Cardona (vocals), Dave Shearer (guitarist), Bruce Sudano (keyboardist), Woody Wilson (bass guitarist) and Vito Albano (drummer) collectively named themselves Alive And Kicking. But later on, they altered their band name from Alive and Kicking to Alive N Kickin’.
