Friedrich Josias, Prince of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (Friedrich Josias Carl Eduard Ernst Kyrill Harald; 29 November 1918 – 23 January 1998) was the head of the Ducal Family of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha and titular Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha from 1954 until his death. He was a great-grandson of Queen Victoria .

Friedrich Josias von Sachsen-Coburg-Saalfeld (* 26. Dezember 1737 auf Schloss Ehrenburg in Coburg; † 26. Februar 1815 in Coburg) war ein Prinz von Sachsen-Coburg-Saalfeld, Reichsgeneralfeldmarschall und kaiserlicher Feldmarschall .
Prinz Friedrich Josias ist der erfolgreichste Feldherr aus dem Hause Sachsen-Coburg. Von 1750 an führt er das österreichische Heer und später die deutsche Reichsarmee in vielen Schlachten. Seinen aus Coburger Sicht bedeutendsten Sieg erringt er allerdings 1806.

His birth occurred just three weeks after the Workers’ and Soldiers Council of Gotha, deposed his father as Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.
