In 1975/6, the musical toured the UK.

RTÉ Television’s ‘Rock Nativity’ was recorded in October 1980. Written by David Wood and with music by Jackie Trent and Tony Hatch, the programme was broadcast on Christmas Eve in 1980.
This is a production of the play Rock Nativity (by Tony Hatch and David Wood) by Tyneside Theatre Trust Ltd by arrangement with Veronica Flint-Shipman and Cameron Mackintosh, 18 th December 1974 – January 1975, at University Theatre, Newcastle upon Tyne.
