Better Than Ezra was formed in 1988 by vocalist and guitarist Kevin Griffin, lead guitarist Joel Rundell, bassist Tom Drummond, and drummer Cary Bonnecaze. All four members were attending Louisiana State University at the time of Better Than Ezra's formation.

18 août 2014 · I recently had a chance to sit down with one of the founding members of Better Than Ezra, Cary Bonnecaze to discuss the origins of the band and the importance of the remastered version of Suprise to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
10 avr. 2018 · Cary Bonnecaze is known for many things. Music fans know the Baton Rouge native as the co-founder and original drummer of the alternative rock band, Better than Ezra. Fellow alums of University High School know him as a talented placekicker who walked on to the LSU football team while in college.
Cary Bonnecaze. Best known as the original drummer and founding member of American alternative rock band, Better Than Ezra. Was active with Better Than Ezra from 1988-1995, then replaced by Travis McNabb. Before he was in Better Than Ezra, he was in a band called Reality Patio.
The fourth, drummer Cary Bonnecaze, left the group acrimoniously after their first major-label album went platinum.
