What is Thinking Black? To create modern educational programmes that enable student responses to diverse curricula. Our Mission. Be it formal or creative writing, visual art or public speaking, we want to amplify it. The skills component of our programmes gives students the power of language (visual or verbal) to express their ideas.
In our programmes, students gain writing and communication skills, learn about history that reflects them and access opportunities to showcase their work. Each programme is tailored to specific age group, and sessions are led by Black British university students and graduates.
In Thinking Black, Rob Waters reveals black radical Britain’s wide cultural-political formation, tracing it across new institutions of black civil society and connecting it to decolonization and black liberation across the Atlantic world.
