  6. 11 juin 2024 · Re Up” was inspired by “Tricotism”, the Oscar Pettiford tune. I thought it would be great to feature Ugonna playing the melody on a song, so I had him in mind when I wrote it. I was also thinking of the Gateway Trio, with John Abercrombie, Dave Holland, and Jack DeJohnette.
