5 janv. 2020 · I’m not an admissions expert but that seems extremely unlikely based on the 2018-19 data. According to the CDS profile, Tufts had 2262 ED applications and 957 acceptances last year (42% acceptance rate for ED). Additionally Tufts had a higher ED% for their incoming class than most ivies (64% of their freshman class vs 52% at UPenn for example).

24 avr. 2018 · I’m at Tufts and I chose it over Harvard, Berkeley and WashU for what it’s worth. I do think Tufts not reporting top 10% isn’t smart of them to do. It will only lower ranking, which will lower applicant numbers, which will increase acceptance rate, which will lower ranking even further. I personally give no credence to rankings, but most ...

I’m a bit confused on the entire thing, does that mean if I apply to SMFA, (which has a exceptionally high acceptance rate compared to Tufts) i’ll be taking classes at Tufts (like RISD does with Brown) or are they still separate departments?

Would being accepted to SMFA/ expressing an interest in the dual-degree program increase a student’s chances of being accepted to Tufts (14% acceptance rate)?
