The Police. En 1976, alors que Sting est le contrebassiste et chanteur du groupe Last Exit, Stewart Copeland, cherchant alors un bassiste, le découvre lors d'un concert et lui propose de former un groupe avec le guitariste corse Henry Padovani (ce dernier étant remplacé plus tard par Andy Summers).

The Police were an English rock band formed in London in 1977.
