En poésie, chacune de ces deux syllabes rimées est finale, c’est-à-dire présente en fin de mot et en fin de vers. Le vers implique la notion de métrique, un nombre spécifique de syllabes, que la musique, au contraire de la poésie, ne respecte pas toujours.
