31 juil. 2024 · 吳茂昆 （1949年12月6日 — ）， 臺灣 花蓮縣 玉里鎮 人， 超導 物理學家 、 中研院院士 、 美國國家科學院 外籍院士、 民主進步黨 籍 政治人物 ，曾任 國立東華大學 校長、 中華民國教育部 部長、 行政院 國科會 主委、 中研院物理所 所長、 美國 哥倫比亞大學 應用物理教授，因其突破性的 高溫超導體 研究，曾獲得 中華民國 總統科學獎 、 美國國家航空暨太空總署 傑出貢獻獎和 馬蒂亞斯獎 。 2018年4月19日，就任教育部部長，其任內因處理 臺大校長遴選案 以及個人事件引發多項爭議，使其在就任第41天（5月29日）後辭職下台，成為任期最短的教育部長。
