In 2012, Jorja Smith uploaded a cover of Earthquake’s ‘Labyrinth’ to YouTube after much convincing by a friend. Only 15 at the time, she caught the attention of record producer Guy Moot. Under Moot’s mentorship, Smith began working in earnest on her music career, balancing her schoolwork with writing sessions in London.
