10 sept. 2024 · My primary problem was with Intel High Definition DSP before, but is has since transformed into a non-functional Intel Smart Sound Technology OED as shown below. I've already tried uninstalling and removing it, but that just causes it to reappear when I reboot my computer, and trying to install something else over it gives a different message and causes it to still ultimately come back.

I fixed this issue by uninstalling the Intel (R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel (R) SST) Audio Controller driver and the Intel (R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel (R) SST) OED driver at the same time [ use the delete option when uninstalling ], I restarted, and after a second the red x disappeared and my sound was back!!
