I don't think Walk Hard was made with malice towards bio-pics. It was just so well done and so precise in it's parody that it seems that way. It also benefits from the fact that there was no family/band members of Dewey Cox controlling the process to make him seem like a better person (and I'm looking at you, Bohemian Rhapsody).
