The image created is, imagine you're inside of a cave, and all of a sudden the whole cave collapses and you're stuck inside or crushed. (Yikes!)

8 déc. 2017 · The more important meaning is "cave", of course it seems the Finnish word doesn't mean "cave" but "pit, well" which certainly relates to "digging" more than the Latin and Persian words, the fact is that caves are usually natural formations, Persian stem kav also means "to explore, excavate, ransack, search", it is possible that ancient Persians dug to reach a natural underground cave.

7 avr. 2012 · Apr 7, 2012. #5. To tell someone that s/he’s been ‘living under a rock’ or ‘in a cave’ is to imply that s/he is out of touch with current thinking, current events and practices in general. The expression is used colloquially and jocularly among friends. I wouldn’t use it elsewhere.

I think "Keys to the Cave" implies that all men are cave men/neanderthals, and women need a key/guide to help them understand how men think. There was a one-man Broadway show that was very popular many years ago called "Defending the Cave Man." It was about the differences between men and women.
