David Michael Tyson is a Canadian rock music producer and songwriter. He is best known for co-writing Alannah Myles ' 1990 number one hit single "Black Velvet" (with Christopher Ward) and producing her debut album.

11 févr. 2022 · Tyson formed the group Final Touch and began making waves in the Philadelphia area. But it was his call from Ron in 1993 that changed his life, informing David that the legendary vocal group the Manhattans were reuniting – led by Gerald Alston and Blue Lovett – and were looking for a tenor singer.
Gerald Alston, Troy May, and David Tyson have been touring together since a 1993 group reunion (with group co-founder Blue Lovett, until his 2014 death), but their only studio album in all of those years was the excellent 2002 release Even Now (later rebadged as Men Cry Too).
David Tyson. Born to Laura Lee Tyson and Edward Lewis Harvey, David Tyson grew up in music. His brother Ron Tyson of The Temptations always had groups singing in the basement of his mother’s home when he was a child.
