HB Studio offers Acting classes for Young People ages 9 – 17 at all stages of experience, from children and teens just starting out, to dedicated young actors seeking preparation for a high school of performing arts, college program or conservatory.
Founded by Viennese actor/director Herbert Berghof in 1945, HB Studio is one of the original New York acting studios, providing training and practice in the performing arts. We are a nonprofit organization that supports vigorous, lifelong practice in the theater, based on a solid foundation of practical training.
The HB Studio (Herbert Berghof Studio) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization offering professional training in the performing arts through classes, workshops, free lectures, theater productions, theater rentals, a theater artist residency program, as well as full-time study through their International Student Program and Uta Hagen Institute.

Unless otherwise noted, audits are not allowed for workshops and are currently not available for in-person classes.
