L’imam d’Al-Azhar Ahmed el-Tayeb, dont l’Université est considérée comme la plus haute autorité de l’islam sunnite, sera en effet reçu au Vatican par le pape François le 23 mai 2016.

In this capacity, Imam Al-Tayeb heads the Council of Senior Scholars, the Islamic Research Academy, and the Supreme Council of Al-Azhar.
