Lothar Herbert Matthäus (pron. [ˈloːtaʁ maˈtɛːʊs], audio ⓘ; Erlangen, 21 marzo 1961) è un allenatore di calcio ed ex calciatore tedesco, di ruolo centrocampista o difensore. Con la nazionale tedesca si è laureato campione europeo nel 1980 e campione mondiale – da capitano – nel 1990 .

Hij werd wereldkampioen en Europees kampioen met West-Duitsland en achtmaal landskampioen met Bayern München en Internazionale.
