  2. What's really annoying is that there are very nice Pacific centered versions of the Robinson which would give them that if they bothered to look. As awful as Mercator is, at least you don't see that kind of abuse with it. And yeah, Peter's projection is the result of a map made by committee, it compromises on everything so it pleases no one.

(The islands of England were included in the computer calculation). Centre of Wales – the centre, about 2.5km (1.5 miles) from Cwmystwyth.
