7 janv. 2024 · Reden genoeg om The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover te herzien en met een meer volwassen blik kon ik de film veel meer waarderen. Daarbij valt me nu vooral op hoe prachtig de film is vorm gegeven. Het continue geschreeuw is wel vermoeiend, maar de finale viel nu op zijn plek. Het is een ongewone theatrale film vol sadistische satire en ik ga hem anderen nu ook aanraden.
