This is a great book for those who loved Avatar and want to get more behind the scenes knowledge. lots of beautiful graphics, and cool prelim designs. this book really shows what James was trying to achieve with this movie. just an FYI though this book is about the ART, not the making of, so if you are looking for alot of Photos of the physical props and actors this is not ...

  6. The rest, like the flora, fauna, vehicles and sets look pretty close to the finalized designs. Most of the art in this book look computer generated (not that it's a bad thing) and there are very few pencil sketches. Quite a few pieces created with mixed medium are a bit jarring to me, like mixing photos with digital painting for backgrounds.
