Commander Gene Cernan and Lunar Module Pilot Harrison Schmitt walked on the Moon, while Command Module Pilot Ronald Evans orbited above.

Apollo 12 splashed down in the Pacific Ocean on 24 November 1969 at 20:58:24 UT (3:58:24 p.m. EST) after a mission elapsed time of 244 hrs, 36 mins, 24 secs. The splashdown point was 15 deg 47 min S, 165 deg 9 min W, near American Samoa and 6.9 km (4.3 mi) from the recovery ship USS Hornet.

Apollo 14 was scheduled for July 1970, but in January of that year, due to budget cuts that saw the cancellation of Apollo 20, NASA decided there would be two Apollo missions per year with 1970 to see Apollo 13 in April and Apollo 14 likely in October or November.
6 juin 2024 · Jack Swigert was a U.S. astronaut and command module pilot on the Apollo 13 mission (April 11–17, 1970), in which an intended Moon landing was canceled because of a ruptured fuel-cell oxygen tank in the service module. He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1982 but died before taking office.

Harrison Schmitt was the first and only scientist to walk on the moon. The last moonwalk took place on 13 December 1972 by Harrison Schmitt and Eugene Cernan.
