Frances Kazan (born 1946) is an English-born American author, best known for her 2002 historical novel Halide’s Gift.

Frances Kazan holds undergraduate and Masters degrees from and New York University, and is a member of PEN and the Turkish American Society. Mrs. Kazan is currently researching her fifth book and studying plant drawing at the New York Botanical Gardens.
Frances Kazan has two adult children, and has lived in New York City for more than thirty years. Every week she volunteers at a Bronx shelter run by Sanctuary for Families – a private non profit organization that helps abused women and children.
