Dafydd ap Llywelyn (né en avril 1212 1 – mort le 25 février 1246) fut prince des Galles du Nord, puis prince de Galles. Il fut le premier à porter ce titre. Jeunesse. Dafydd était le seul fils légitime de Llywelyn le Grand né de son épouse Jeanne, fille illégitime du roi Jean d'Angleterre.

Llywelyn ap Dafydd (c.1267–1287), potential claimant to the title Prince of Gwynedd, was the eldest son of Dafydd ap Gruffydd, the last free ruler of Gwynedd, and his wife Elizabeth Ferrers. Nothing is known of his early life, though it is thought he was probably born some time around 1267.

Following his grandfather's death in 1240, Llywelyn's uncle, Dafydd ap Llywelyn (who was Llywelyn the Great's eldest legitimate son), succeeded him as ruler of Gwynedd. At this time, Llywelyn went on crusade with Richard of Cornwall, brother of Henry III of England.
