Richard Rider, alias Nova est un super-héros évoluant dans l'univers Marvel de la maison d'édition Marvel Comics. Créé par le scénariste Marv Wolfman et le dessinateur John Buscema , le personnage de fiction apparaît pour la première fois dans le comic book Nova #1 en septembre 1976 .

Nova had difficulty in maintaining his duties as both one of the Nova Corps personnel and a New Warrior. He met an alternate reality Nova, "Nova O:O," who helped Rider develop his powers. He also saved Earth from destruction by preventing the detonation of the "Deathstorm" bomb.
