Charles de Foucauld, né le 15 septembre 1858 à Strasbourg et mort le 1 er décembre 1916 à Tamanrasset en Algérie pendant la période coloniale française, est un officier de cavalerie de l'armée française devenu explorateur et géographe, puis religieux catholique, prêtre, ermite et linguiste.
