Biographie. Jeunesse et formation. Né en 1999 à Viseu, João Félix commence sa formation chez Os Pestinhas avant de rejoindre les rangs des jeunes du FC Porto, où il passe six ans. En 2014, il est prêté au Padroense FC en raison de son manque d'importance dans le système du jeu du FC Porto.
He moved out of his parents' house at age 12 to live near Porto's youth training grounds; in a later interview, Félix revealed that during this time he considered quitting football due to the lack of playing time, but his father convinced him to pursue his career.

- Il a remporté le Trophée du Golden Boy en 2019, récompensant le meilleur joueur de moins de 21 ans du monde. Il avait devancé Sancho, Havertz et Haaland.
