Robert Kelly Thomas [1] (born February 14, 1972) is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is the lead vocalist for the Florida-based alternative rock band Matchbox Twenty, which he formed in 1995 and with whom he has released five studio albums.

Robert James Thomas est un scénariste, producteur, créateur et auteur. Il sort diplômé de la San Marcos High School au Texas en 1983. Il fréquente ensuite la Texas Christian University où il joue notamment au football. En 1987, il obtient un BA en Histoire à l'Université du Texas à Austin.
