Phyllis Nagy (/ n ɑː ʒ / NAHZH; born November 7, 1962) is an American theatre and film director, screenwriter and playwright. In 2006, Nagy was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for writing and directing Mrs. Harris (2005), her screen debut.

Playwright, screenwriter and director Phyllis Nagy was born in New York City and has lived in London since 1992. She was Writer in Residence at the Royal Court Theatre in London and is currently writing for the Royal Court Theatre, the Royal National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
