Anna Marie Caballero (born April 18, 1955) is an American politician serving in the California State Senate. A Democrat, she represents the 14th State Senate district, which includes Merced, Madera and Fresno Counties and part of the Central Valley.
Senator Anna M. Caballero is a woman of firsts. She was the first female Mayor elected in the 126-year history of the City of Salinas and the first Latina elected to represent the 28th Assembly District in 2006.
8 nov. 2022 · Caballero ( Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the California State Senate to represent District 14. She won in the general election on November 8, 2022. Caballero is a former Democratic member of the California State Assembly, representing District 30 from 2016 to 2018.
Anna Caballero wants to end poverty and homelessness. Through her work with Governor Jerry Brown, Anna helped make housing more affordable for veterans and working families across California. As our Assemblymember she passed the Housing and Emergency Shelter Trust Fund Act, allocating $300 million for affordable housing and transportation.

Anna Caballero, 69, is a lawyer, the former mayor of Salinas and a member of former Gov. Jerry Brown’s cabinet. She spent 15 years on the Salinas City Council and served as its mayor. She was elected to the Assembly in 2006.
