Barbara Hoyt (December 27, 1951 – December 3, 2017) was an American nurse and a member of the "Manson Family", led by Charles Manson. Hoyt was a witness in District Attorney Vincent Bugliosi's prosecution of Manson and his followers for the Tate-LaBianca murders.
Barbara Hoyt turned state’s evidence as a witness for the prosecution in numerous trials against Charles Manson and the others; the Tate/Labianca murders and the murder of Donald Jerome “Shorty” Shea (People v. Manson, People v. David, and People v. Grogan). However, she was almost killed to prevent her testimony.

Found sprawled on a Honolulu curb in a drugged semi-stupor, Hoyt was taken to the hospital, where she did her best to identify herself as a witness in the Tate–LaBianca murder trial. Before the incident, Hoyt had been a reluctant witness; after the attempt to silence her, her reticence disappeared.
