Hans von Seeckt (born April 22, 1866, Schleswig, Prussia—died Dec. 27, 1936, Berlin) was a German general and head of the Reichswehr (army) from 1920 to 1926, who was responsible for successfully remodelling the army under the Weimar Republic. Seeckt entered the German Army in 1885.
