Starting with Manina, the Lighthouse-Keeper's Daughter, also known as The Girl in the Bikini, Bardot was just 17 at the time of filming. This film was also criticized at the time because the bikini wasn't acceptable swimwear as it is today; it just showed too much skin! Too much skin for the prudes of the time.
