Herbert Manfred Marx, né le 25 février 1901 à Manhattan et mort le 30 novembre 1979 à Palm Springs, est un acteur comique américain, plus connu sous le pseudonyme de Zeppo Marx, le nom qu'il utilisait pour jouer avec ses frères les Marx Brothers.
Herbert Manfred "Zeppo" Marx (February 25, 1901 – November 30, 1979) was an American comedic actor. He was the youngest and last survivor of the five Marx Brothers. He appeared in the first five Marx Brothers feature films from 1929 to 1933, and then left the act for careers as an engineer and theatrical agent.
En 1933, les Marx Brothers tournent donc La Soupe au canard, qui est aussi le dernier film avec Zeppo. Le studio fait appel à un réalisateur déjà très en vogue à cette époque, Leo McCarey , qui a notamment travaillé avec Laurel et Hardy et Tod Browning .

Zeppo Marx was the youngest and most versatile of the five brothers, playing both straight man and romantic lead roles in their films. He also had a talent for mechanics, inventions and business, and was involved in Groucho's estate disputes.
Zeppo Marx. Actor: Duck Soup. The youngest of The Marx Brothers, Zeppo was put into the role of the straight man after his brother Gummo left the act. Zeppo also acted as an understudy to all three of his brothers, and he has been said to have played Grouchos part better than Groucho himself.
