Daniel Paul Futterman (born June 8, 1967) is an American actor, screenwriter, and producer. Futterman wrote the screenplay for the film Capote, for which he received an Academy Award nomination, an Independent Spirit, Boston Society of Film Critics, and Los Angeles Film Critics Association awards.

Dan Futterman is an actor and producer, known for Capote (2005), A Mighty Heart (2007) and The Birdcage (1996). He was born in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA, and married to Anya Epstein, the sister of Theo Epstein, the President of Baseball Operations of the Chicago Cubs.
The film revolves around Armand (Robin Williams) and Albert Goldman (Nathan Lane), the owners of a vibrant Florida drag nightclub, whose son, Val (Dan Futterman), is on a mission to get married.
