The mission of the National Academy Foundation (NAF) is to sustain a national network of career academies to support the development of America's youth toward personal and professional success--in high school, in higher education, and throughout their careers.
The Academy of Finance (AOF) is an American educational program first established in 1982 by the National Academy Foundation. It offers high school students an opportunity to study accounting, international trade, leadership, and the use of technology in preparing for college and the financial services industry.
In 1989, the National Academy Foundation was established as a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 intermediary organization to oversee the quality and expansion of Academy programs nationwide. In 2000, NAF expanded the model into a new industry, launching the Academy of Information Technology.
